MARY HACKETT and HOOTAN HEYDARI: LOUD, QUIET, LOUD

The Wandering Room invites you to the third of our ‘Paired’ exhibition series.

​

Loud, Quiet, Loud meets at other edges of materiality, seemingly distanced from original intention. The paired work is jewel-like - as pendulous as the regulator in a grandfather clock. They announce their manufacture and whisper duration. They loudly protest their demise while quietly maintaining their relevance.

 

'Paired' is a series of five curated exhibitions pairing two Naarm / Melbourne based artists. The paired practitioners may choose to collaborate in some way or simply exhibit side by side.
