AARON HOFFMAN AND LAUREN MAY: A HAND IN THE WATER
The Wandering Room invites you to the launch of our ‘Paired’ exhibition series.
‘A Hand in the Water' is a joint exhibition featuring new works by Lauren May and Aaron Hoffman. Finding inspiration in their shared affinity with the human body's membrane and domestic objects, they focus their observations on the enigmatic and unsettling nature of water. Their creative exploration draws from both the real world and the captivating world depicted in 'The Nix in the Mill-pond' by the Grimm brothers.
'Paired' is a series of five curated exhibitions pairing two Naarm / Melbourne based artists. The paired practitioners may choose to collaborate in some way or simply exhibit side by side.
Saturday 3 June, 6-8pm (opening night)
Sunday 4 June, 11-2pm (exhibition viewing)
208 Victoria St (enter via Elizabeth St)
