2021 SOLO EXHIBITION PROGRAM OPPORTUNITY

With the support of a City of Moreland grant, The Wandering Room is pleased to announce a solo exhibition program which will create paid opportunities for local artists and arts writers. The exhibitions will run between May - November 2021.

​

Closing deadline for submissions is 31st March 2021.

​

ARTISTS:

 

This program will support local artists to reimagine The Wandering Room exhibition space, with preference given to projects that are site specific and experimental in nature and are sensitive to social distancing and changing COVID-19 restrictions. Artists will be paid $800 and supported in the development and presentation of their work in a solo exhibition or viewing opportunity.

WRITERS: 

​

Writers will be commissioned to produce a catalogue essay for an artist’s site-specific project. Writer’s are invited to submit their information for consideration by selected artists within the 2021 exhibition program. Payment for writers is $500. These exhibitions will provide an opportunity for collaboration across the Melbourne creative community.
