LUGAS SYLLABUS - YOUR TIME, MY TIME

Over the past few weeks rising Indonesian art-star Lugas Syllabus has worked tirelessly in our Grey Street, South Bank studio creating work for an upcoming blockbuster exhibition at Woolloongabba Art Gallery (WAG) opening on the 17th of September. Lugas has become known as a colourful character, interacting with passers by and working up a storm!

 

This coming Saturday, the 10th of September, The Wandering Room would like to open up his studio for a ‘closing’ party to unveil the fruits of his time in our space. Your time and my time is a taste test in the lead up to upcoming exhibition at WAG~ Nasi Goblok & Raja Kantut, the final stage in an ongoing cross cultural collaborative project between Lugas and local artist, Eric Rossi.

 

Visit Lugas, us, and collaborator Eric Rossi from 5:30pm until 7:30pm at shop 13/14 (formally known as ‘Egg’), Little Stanley and Grey Streets, South Bank to see drawing, painting, and three dimensional work which bridges Lugas’ hometown Yogyakarta and our city, Brisbane. Enjoy the works and the artists amidst a festive atmosphere with loads of spicy noodles and tropical treats!

 

This is the second installment of our Wandering Room on Grey Street project. Entry to the exhibition is on the Grey Street side and the space is located diagonally opposite from the South Bank cinemas.
